of pea-sized brain footballer.

some interesting 'alternative' reading, though needing serious vetting at times; can't take what is wirtten at face value.
Nothing is ultimately certain nowadays....seriously..

Also, in the recent EPL match pitting Chelsea against Man City, Drogba admitted that :
1. "Sometimes I dive, sometimes I stand."
2. he did admit to handling the ball in the course of scoring the second;
"Yes, it was handball, but that's part of the game.

I mean, how more dumb (or honest??) can an already grotesquely overpaid footballer be???
Definitely waiting for more backlash from the FA soon!! YUm yum :P

Also, there's this pretty nifty application online called MyHeritage.com,
What it does is that you upload your photo, and they match it against the celebrities in their database. It's quite fun!! Seriously!!

Spring has finally arrived!

Multitude of daffodil-akin flowers along the curb of Cathay's Road. Walking down the street further, one shall reach Queen's Street. A sight to behold indeed; just pause to appreciate its sheer beauty. ^^ Posted by Picasa

CONGRATS XIANGLi for the excellent results! So, so happy for u!! :)

Well, feel's good yeah after all this while of waiting and periods of uncertainty; or was it that u were already certain of the outcome? HAhhahahaha!! But anyways, really glad that u made it all by urself, in fact, better then me oso! Haish, damn jealous-la!! ^^
Also, it's great that DJ's standard has also been maintained with the sterling performances by ur fellow mates! Round of applause to all of them as well!!
Neeways, hope u do reward urself fully as this is indeed truly one great achievement! Make the most out of your free time now before deciding on the next chapter of your life. Don't rush into any decisions before considering all options carefully, as i believe you can leverage yourself better compared to me then. Take your time, and i fully trust that you will be able to make the best & fulfilling choice (unless, it's been pre-determined?*) :P
<owh, and please don't take up medicine..not much life installed here la.... hahahah!!>

Lastly, just want wish ah-Wen Happy 13th Birthday!! Hope that you're still the same ah-Wen as before i left, and don't bully chi-chi and ah-xiang too much ok!!
Take care!

*on second thoughts, just ignore my unwarranted comments la>

Lots of love,
^^zhuangli^^

Marathon squash; fantastique but crazily tiring CaRDiff Games 2006!

Well, here i am , typing out and posting some random shots of the wonderful squash torney which we had, when my whole body is aching madly, legs covered with bruises, shoulder aching like mad; physically and mentally tired adi... but anyways, lets keep this short. All i have to say was that i did'nt finish last in my 1st real torney! Haha! and the medal's quality presented was fanstastic too! Though... on a more careful look, if u notice, it's actually a 2005 games medal, and not 2006! kinda weird huh!! (tongue in cheek^^)

Good workout; won my 1st 3 games convincingly in the group stages (for the 1st time in my life, though only a measly 4 participants), then proceded to the round-robin for the best 3 players, then to my undoing, i unfortunately dug my own downfall by drawing 2 consecutive matches after my last gp-stages match. Well, so heck , had to play thru 3 consecutive games! was feeling like shit adi; stomach hungry, body aching, wrist hurting like mad, petrol tank runing of fatty acid fuel, then forced to play anohter rubber game in 2nd-last match (3rd-last also went to rubber set), then at the last set, practically my body gave up adi! haha.. kena straight-sets defeat by weishen. Hahaha! But he was the better player no doubt-la! Anyways, lost only 1 match and that undoing caused me better final position! ~Would like to thank Farhan, Fairul & weishen for giving me seriously competitive matchups; also not forgeting waiping for diligently keeping the score-sheets... also, most importantly gayetri for bringing over my needed 'fuel' (ie food~best nasi tomato ever) all the way from Talybont (though she 'got lost halfway' :P )! Good & memorable game indeed! May this set the precedent for more squash torney in the nx cardiff games! ooh..and apparently, squash torney was 1st time organised in any of the official Malaysian Games in the whole of UK! Another round of applause to all!!

Must work on fitness & improve technique, then can avenge my defeat to shakiran nx time along! hahah! Till the nx cardiff Games! ^^

*may i suggest that we have a relay-running team event in the nx games? Mixed event will be great! Gerenti puas hati one!

of acute backaches, muscle sores and crappy train service, esp 'arriva' trains!.....money seems to be deserting me this week!

><)));> Pic opp shows the house we shall be living nx term^^

Just managed to finish one whole load of laundry.....all because of sports. That's the thing with games; you get all sweaty and sticky, and your shirt gets all crummy and stinky and you then got no choice but to wash everything after any game, even if it's just being worn for an hour! Speaking of which, for the 1st time in a long time, i actually managed 2 days of decent physical workout...and that's what is causing my aches and soreness. Had 6 grueling games of squash at the club and jogging with Tom on Friday, then went for basketball (which didnt really turn out to be waht i expectd.. no offence; cos i'm also tangan bangku *re: kaki bangku*) and badminton too (which i have'nt played for months, literally). The thing with me is tat im used to workouts of the lower extremeties, and not the upeer extremeties, and the over-enthusiasm in me over racket and hand games have caused the unavoidable sore shoulders, upper lumbar back pain ( i think it's more so of the erectus spinaes) and chronic fatigue syndrome. And am still thinking of going for a jog tomolo morning before classses, squash again in the evening, wednesday and friday if i'm still up and about! Hahahahah!! Tallk about pushing oneself to the limits!

And have to seriously get myself into shape for the BUSA cross-countries next term; this year too late adi; i'm just too unfit to even consider myself in the team! We (cardiff uni athletics team) actually have a really competitve team, and i don't want to memalukan them in the case i participate. Here is an excerpt by the president , Jonny on one of the recent runs:

"This weekend saw 7 club members travel to Sheffield for the BUSA Indoors (thanks very much to the captains Beth and Mike for dealing with organisation and transport). We had several outstanding performances including a silver and a bronze medal, a 4th place and a 6th place. A full report should follow soon and also be in Gairr Rhydd next week. Congratulations to Cara Roberts, James Nasrat, Sally Peake and Mike Johnson for those particularly strong performances and to the others competing very well at an extremely high standard event."

At the moment, still considering whether to attempt Cardiff's Half (21km) or the Full Marathon (42km) event (October 2006) ... really don't know what i'm capable of yet, and the entry fees itself is crazily high (28 pounds), but it's something which i always wanted to do! Only then would i dare to attempt the London Marathon nx easter! That's the ulitmate!!
So well, that's why must really buck up or not, damn paiseh lah!! ^^

This week also, i was scheduled to make at least 80pounds, but in the end, i didnt manage to earn even a penny! Well, i went for the flu survey previously and made a handsome $40 (eventhough tidak sakit) & i thought of stretching my luck again last wednesday, but the survey was finally over! If only i went over the week before.... Also, had a job today at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, just to introduce local year 11 students to what's installed for them in the medicine. 1st, the hospital NOT wiling to provide transportation to all poor students like us. 2nd, they are only paying us a meagre $40 for a days work (8am-4pm). Lastly, they assume we all know how to get there on our own...but the upside is there's a buffet lunch :P
well anyway, i only realised that the hospital we were going was not Royal Gwent (which is in Newport) , but Glamorgan (in Llantrisant)! A bit tension la (alan oso) cos when we checked the train travel schedule (the company is 'arriva'), and alas, there's no train on Sundays to Llantrisant! And that was at 12.30 am sunday morning! Damn the hospital and 'arriva'! never tell us anything oso, somore pay peanuts!! because of that, i didnt manage to kill as many as i would have liked to for CS. *another big "sIGh"!! ^^..so there goes the projected income of 80 pounds...

One last thing; i'm actually quite dissapointed by the way our MalSoc is organised here...well..for once, there's the poor leadership which always seem to be doing thing to her/his best interest, 2ndly, organisation for the individual games is quite crappy too; for squash (though im not a good player), apparently, the pres just randomly picked someone at the meeting to be the SUL, though one of the commitee member had another in mind already, and that guy (the special someone) has so far not send out any invitations to us, home students to participate. Well, although squash is an internal event (MalSoc apparently could'nt get any outside participants), he should at least make an effort to publicise the event internally...no offence, i'm not doubting his ability, but he should be more proactive in this situation. well, from what i understand, the commitee for the games in general is great, really; it's only certain segment(s) which is giving trouble. You know who, and i know who as well.......
If only....... *sigh*
& for all our hard-earned profit during the Msian night, it's gonna be used to cover the cost (or in fact projected losses) of the games! Might as well scrape it in the 1st place if there's losses!
~HOw ironic!~

*disclaimer: all the views here are solely the views of the author and only the author himself; if there would be any parties who may be sighted by what is being posted here, i do hope that you may have to realise that these may be also what others feel about the situation in general.^^

* zijian, p/s work on our travel plans ok>>>pweeease!!

on taking midnight exam #2; really living the life of a medical student, or actually no life! Also, apologies to Alan..hmm...but then again.........

Managed to do another midnight exam again. Went in at 9pm, came out at 12.30am! Unbelievable!! For me, i thought i did alrite, considering the online exam was freaking tough, i mean, seriously difficult, even harder than sneaking durians onboard the plane! haha!! The test was on the whole of the Foundation Studies panel, encompassing biological molecules, cell biology, receptors and excitable tissues; all these i had to cover in 1.5 days!! Freaking cRaZy & massively sapping the whatsoever minute life that is left on me after days of continuos lectures! But thankfully, for the 2nd (or3rd?) time, as it was just a formative it would'nt contribute to our overall grade, just moreso as a self assesment and enrichment. Neeways, gotta thank Lavan, waiping, ALan & AizaT for the fantastic guidance throughout the session.......you peeps RocK man!! w/o you all, can't even dare see myself attempting it!(pic is actually of the #1 midnight exam-cum-craziness)

We (particularly me) as usual, again took our whole stash of lecture notes to fish out the answers but nevertheless, it's always a constant race against time as submission has to be done before the clock ticks off, or a straight 'zero' beckons the unfortunate student. The person who volunteers 1st to do it would be the most disadvantaged as then after that, the rest of us would know the mistakes he/she does; this time it was Alan who volunterred.... A mad scramble indeed then, even with 4 others searching the answers, and i really admire his courage to sorta be the 'sacrificial lamb'. He did'nt really know what was installed for him, wellif only he had known earlier.......^^

That's why, seriously, Alan, i'm really sorry i gave you some wrong answers, though your final results were only marginally away from mine only. Hope you don't take it too hard yeah, coz i'm quite certain that your results were recorded down on BB..... owh, and if u still tak puas, can always still re-take it, as i found out that there's a bug in the system which allows us to do so! Umm... and for the record, your last qs' answers were not taken into consideration as well as another qs too.... so it was'nt too bad after all (i think:P).
*oh, and fyi, my timer also went stationary at the 5 min point... i also did'nt dare take any risk lor;

Chill la yeah... hope you are not too stress to play CS or DoTa after this still ok!!
^^
